Beachbody Coaching Opportunity = Freedom

After receiving my MBA, I can remember working in Corporate America and working from 7:30 – 5:30 most days. I commuted always — so tack on another hour or so for that and then I was left with a few hours to myself at the end of the day. I was exhausted and drained at the end of the work day and the gym was my release! However – I would get home most evenings at 7:30, 8:00, take a shower, eat dinner, watch a TV show or two and crash!!

I was living someone *else’s* dream and not mine. I was a slave to the “9-5”, unhappy and exhausted – all of the time! I would live for the weekends and then they would fly by and I was left loafing around the house all day on Sunday because I knew the next day meant another start to a long work week. I am not opposed to hard work — I was opposed to working hard for someone elses dream and not my own.

Fast forward a few years and I had graduated with a second masters degree – this time in Elementary Education. I LOVED being in the classroom and being a positive role model for the little ones! As a new teacher, I was able to work a few maternity leaves and was subbing for other teachers in one particular district on a regular basis. I truly loved it — BUT — I had just became a mommy and I would miss my daughter terribly while away from her everyday. So my hubby & I discussed the bare minimum that I would need to work as a substitute teacher and that was what I would work each month. My priorities had obviously shifted and being a mommy, and being home to witness my daughter’s milestones was so important to me.

All along, I had always loved fitness!! I was a self-proclaimed “gym rat” and loved spinning, step classes, weight training and everything related to working out! Once I had had my daughter ((and had 30+ pounds to lose!!)) the gym was harder to get to and the weight was NOT budging ((I just wanted to NOT wear leggings anymore!!)). So I started working out at home, was loving the convenience of it all ((even though I though I could NEVER get used to it)) AND my weight started falling off!! I wanted the best – so I kept researching and Beachbody programs continually popped up! So I continued to research and the more and more I learned, the more I liked what I was reading! 😉 I found the coaching opportunity on several coaches pages via IG or Facebook. They all said the same thing — that you can make a significant income by being home, staying fit and helping others to do the same. I thought it was FOR SURE a scam!! There’s no way! My hubby literally laughed in my face when I told him I was thinking about trying it out! After all — what did I have to lose and worst case scenario — I could use the 25% off discount that coaches receive. So I took the plunge!! I became an coach and haven’t looked back! I am now able to STAY home full-time and not have to look for a job outside of the home. I am making what I would full-time and it only increases every month! You really CAN make a legit income staying healthy and fit AND helping others do the same!! The way that this business is positioned is that it is only going to continue to grow and continue to provide opportunities. Its truly amazing and has changed my life in so many ways!!

Clean Apple Crisp – 21 Day Fix Approved

One of my favorite desserts is an Apple or Peach Crisp! Here is a clean option so that you are able to enjoy a dessert while trying to eat clean and/or doing the 21 Day Fix!

INGREDIENTS

One purple — apple//peach//blueberries//berries —> whichever you prefer

One Yellow – oats

One Red — plain greek yogurt

One packet of stevia

Cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

Spray a pan with cooking coconut oil or grape seed cooking oil spray.

Add in the fruit and let them cook for a little over a medium heat.

Add the oats and sautee/cook until done

Mix your greek yogurt with the stevia in a separate bowl.

Once the oats and fruit is cooked enough, layer on top of the greek yogurt mixture and top with cinnamon and ENJOY!

 

 

 

Crock Pot CLEAN Buffalo Chicken — 21 Day Fix Approved

Looking for a clean, healthy and DELICIOUS recipe for an all-American favorite, Buffalo Chicken?? I know — I TOO love the taste of the blue cheese and the hot sauce drizzled all over the yummy, tender pulled chicken. BUT I do not want all of the fat and calories that comes along with it! Here is a ((21 Day Fix approved)) CLEAN alternative!!

Buffalo-Chicken

INGREDIENTS

One pound of boneless, skinless chicken breast

3/4 c of greek yogurt

1/4 cup of Franks Red Hot

Garlic Powder

Diced Garlic

Diced Onion

DIRECTIONS

Add all ingredients into the crock pot

Cook on low for 3 hours

Stir to ensure that all of the chicken is washed with the seasonings, yogurt and Hot Sauce

Once cooked thoroughly, you will be able to pull the chicken apart into shredded pieces and enjoy!

 

IDEAS for SERVING:

Top with blue cheese (one blue if you are a Fixer) and have with carrots and celery.

Add to the top of a salad

Put on lettuce wraps for a “taco”

Insanity Max 30 DAY 1 & 2

Yesterday was my very first day of Insanity Max 30!! It was awesome!! I am LOVING that these workouts are only 30 minutes! …….and they pack a punch!!

The first day is Cardio Challenge and it is just that — pure cardio!! Shaun T is killer and the cardio moves certainly cause you to sweat and push through!!! Ya gotta DIG DEEP as he would say!!!  I maxed out at 9:30 — -which will definitely give me something to work towards for next week! I started to yell at that time — haha — next week I will yell and PUSH THROUGH!!!

WHAT IS MAXING OUT????

Maxing out is when you feel you need to stop and take a break to re-group! Shaun T will give you mini-water breaks along the way….BUT once I started to yell (haha) – I figured it was time to stop and MAX OUT! The great thing about this program is that you are ONLY in competition with YOURSELF!! You can see how much you improve each week, because it will take you longer to max out each time, because you are getting stronger! It is brilliant!! 🙂

TABATA POWER

Today was Tabata Power and that was awesome too! It is interval-based — 20 sec on and 10 sec off!! So, I maxed out around 14 minutes. Just when you are at your limit with doing a cardio move, he switches it to a strength based move! Its awesome!! There are ab intervals at the end. I love the tricep work because as we all know ladies, we DO NOT want the bat wings!!! haha!!! The end is the toughest in my opinion because he has you doing POWER tricep dips and tuck jumps!! OOOOMMMMGGGG!!!!

The rest of the week will be great!!! I have never been so excited for a workout or to see results!! I LOVE that the workouts are only 30 minutes. I get up at 5:00 am and get it done before my little one wakes up. It sets my day off right and I feel amazinnnnnng!!!!

I can’t wait!! It looks killer — but I AM READY!!! WHO IS MAX 30 ?

It is for everyone as there is a modifier! BUT — it will not be easy — but if you want results in 30 min/day — THIS is your thang!The modifier does not bring LESS intensity or LESS of a workout — it simply takes the impact out of the moves. You will STILL get a GREAT workout!! You cannot go wrong with this choice. Shaun T knows what he is doing and has created over 150 NEW moves for this workout!

Max30 is BOTH cardio AND strength training!!! I love, love, love, Insanity and LOVE how I feel when I am doing that program. Shaun T created THIS program because he wanted to make Insanity BETTER. This is that program.  I have YET to complete it because I feel like I am always awaiting a new program to start and in the meantime, I will piece together ones that I LOVE — for example, Insanity and Les Mills PUMP. ONE DAY – I WILL complete Insanity from start to finish! 😉

 

WHAT IS MAXING OUT??

This is when you are “sprinting” and PUSHING so hard through the moves — GOING HARD — and when you reach the point when you need a break. You take the break that you need and then jump back in! Shaun T even MAXES OUT! You will try to BEAT YOUR TIME the following week in that same workout so you are ONLY in competition with YOURSELF!! LOVE that!! ……….and I LOVE that each week you will get stronger!

 

WHAT IS THE NUTRITION PLAN LIKE?

Sooooo………this program is awesome because it focuses on portion control. What you put in your body, will show up on your body! EAT CLEAN! This program focuses on whole, clean foods so that your body is properly nourished and will give you ENERGY to sustain these workouts.

You have a few options as far as how much food you eat each day. The program follows a plan similar to that of the 21 Day Fix. So , I am allowed a certain number of proteins, fats and carbs each day.

The ONE thing I LOVE about this is that, it guides you to select the proper foods if you are starving during the day. So you start by selecting a fruit, then a carb, then a protein….

There is ALSO a “No Time To Cook” guide for all of us who are caught in the lurch and need to grab something quick ((WHICH WE SHOULD ALL BE PLANNING AHEAD for this to not happen, but it happens!)) that outlines what to grab that will best suit your body. There is also a guide to tell you how to eat when you are out to dinner, etc

Clean Sandwiches

Clean Cucumber Sandwiches

Here is a clean and EASY sandwich idea. No bread…just crunchy cucumbers…….and whatever you want as your fixin’s.

Peel a cucumber and slice
Layer into “sandwiches” by adding what ever you like:

*cold cuts
*ricotta cheese
*cheese
*avocado and cold cuts…

 

 

SO Simple. SO easy.
